Through Jill’s work in the mental health field, she has seen how challenging it can be for professionals to take care of themselves. This stands true for almost every helping profession, as it is the desire to care that brings both joy and sorrow. She is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Trainer and has worked with multiple agencies in providing trainings for staff to decrease burnout and increase self-care.
She also provides consultation in mindfulness leadership to professional organizations. Through her personal and clinical practice of meditation and mindfulness, she has developed a program for helping organizations increase productivity through leadership, utilizing mindfulness skills.
Jill has had the opportunity to provide trainings to several law enforcement agencies (Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City), first responders and multiple non-profit animal shelters.
