Mindfulness-Based Therapy

GAIN AWARENESS

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy teaches one how to live in the moment with an awareness of their present self, interactions, and experiences.

It utilizes techniques to show a person how to consciously pay attention to thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps by guiding a person to:

  • Learn to respond instead of react
  • Gain awareness into emotional reactions and habitual behaviors
  • Live intentionally and appreciate life
  • Decrease depression, anxiety and other related mental health concerns

This approach aims to help people review their thoughts without getting caught up in what could have been or might occur in the future. It provides clarity of thought and can provide tools needed to more easily let go of negative thoughts instead of allowing them to feed a person’s depression.

Mindfulness is a cornerstone of our practice at the Magnolia Institute. We integrate teaching meditation and mindfulness to our clients because we have witnessed the transformative and healing power being mindful provides. Mindfulness gives us the ability to rewire our brain and helps us shift our relationship with ourselves and our life. At the Magnolia Institute, we strive to offer a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment focusing on teaching our clients the art of awareness and acceptance.
